Any Historic Racing Car with a complete history is obviously a more raceable, saleable and valuable vehicle than one without.
In order to ease the obtaining of the important FIA Historic Vehicle Identity Forms, Autotune have established a Historic Competition Car Research Department.
Run by Richard Taylor and specialising in McLaren Can-Am cars, our aim is to trace a racing car's history from new through to its current owner.
The finished documentation is presented in smart, hardbound folders with pictorial and magazine article evidence.

Recently undertaken projects have included McLaren M1B, M1C, M6A, M6B, M8C, Lola T70, Chevron B24, Lola T332, March 717, etc.
In one particular case an American customer with a mysterious McLaren Can-Am car was presented with a full owner by owner history, through to himself, adding a significant six-figure sum to his cars value.
