Driven by Anthony and Richard Taylor’s personal enthusiasm for the fabulous cars built by the remarkable Bruce McLaren and his team, Autotune have been restoring and racing Historic McLaren race cars since the early 1980s. During this time many examples of the fabulous McLaren Can-Am and Formula 5000 cars have passed through the workshop.
Full restorations carried out from bare chassis up on both spaceframe and alloy monocoque cars. Every care is taken to restore cars to their period correct specifications to achieve the all-important FIA HTP paperwork required for historic races around Europe. Our years of experience with the various models gives us clear insight into the safety critical parts that require close attention or replacement.
